Cotham Parish Church

Serving the parish of St Saviour with St Mary, Cotham in Bristol

About us

Welcome to the website of Cotham Parish Church: the picture above is the view of our parish from the top of the church tower. We are a Church of England parish church set about 1 mile north of the city centre of Bristol. We are close to the University of Bristol, the Queens Road shops and the mainly residential area of Redland.

Cotham Parish Church is a diverse Christian community, with people of all ages, coming from all walks of life. Together we seek to follow Jesus Christ through our worship, witness and social concern.

Cotham is part of a larger united benefice. Our sister church is St Paul’s in Clifton, and you may also like to pay them a visit. As two churches we work together in Christian mission, forging creative partnerships, providing regular ministry and administrative support. As a result, all our administration is done from one office.

Our congregation at Cotham is diverse and we aim to be a friendly and inclusive church. We are liberal and catholic in style and use a mixture of high church rituals and modern creative liturgy and music.

Our Parochial Church Council have passed the following resolution on behalf of the church:

We aspire to cherish all, regardless of marital and social status, sexual orientation or level of Church commitment.
